Bus riders used the anniversary of Rosa Parks’ birthday Friday to talk about how proposed legislation could help close inequities for minority communities needing better transportation.

Several bus riders told stories about difficulties using the current bus system, in support of a proposed NJ Transit bus riders’ Bill of Rights legislation sponsored by Assemblyman Daniel Benson, and State Senator Joseph Vitale, both D-Middlesex. The bill is currently in committee.
